The simplest decor can often times be the most expensive. Try your hand (and patience) at making this beautiful and simplistic centerpiece for less than a few dollars.

To make this pyramid, gather 8 sticks of the same length and thickness as well as some brown or clear thread. Start by securing two branches together in a criss-cross, X pattern. For the base square, make sure that the branches are stacked parallel to each other (step 3 above). This will ensure it stands (or hangs) evenly.

Next, attach your last four sticks to each four corners of the square. I found that the wrapping technique for this could be any way, as long is was even and secure. Lastly, bond all four vertical sticks together in the center to make your pyramid. Note: be sure to bond the sticks in the very center of the square, or else it will look wonky and hang funny.

To finish, insert a long piece of thread (measured to your desired hanging length) between the joint four sticks. This will hang the entire structure as well as hang a decoration from the center. You may hang whatever you like in the center; fresh or dried flowers, a note, a photograph, or even a light bulb. I also tied a large knot in the thread inside the triangle, to prevent it from pulling through when hung.
I got inspired to make a DIY of this decoration when I saw a picture on fibersandflorals Instagram account of a Chariots On Fire shop item.

Let me know if you found this helpful.
